Neil graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1983 with a 1st Class Honours degree. He gained his RCVS Specialist status in 1992 and his FRCVS by examination in Exotic Bird Medicine in 1996. Neil gained his European Diploma (European Recognised Specialist) in 1997. He is well known to most UK clinicians as well as many from abroad. Neil has acted as the tutor on all European Association of Avian Vets, Avian Soft Tissue Wet Lab courses from 1997 to present. Neil has lectured in many countries, contributed to more than 25 books and published numerous peer reviewed papers.
