European Specialist in Equine Internal Medicine
Since qualifying as a Vet from Liverpool University, Tim has spent most of his career working with horses. That time has been divided between first opinion and referral equine practices and university posts encompassing clinical equine medicine, teaching and research on equine respiratory diseases. He is a recognised European specialist in Equine Internal Medicine and holds the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Equine Internal Medicine. Since 2005, Tim has run a mobile equine internal medicine consultancy service (Equine Medicine on the Move) based in the Cotswolds providing diagnostic investigation and second opinion services to equine veterinary practices both in the UK and overseas. Tim has particular interests in gastro-intestinal and cardiorespiratory diseases of the horse. He is still involved in teaching veterinary students and regularly contributes to continuing education meetings and conferences for practicing equine vets across Europe. Tim is also a consultant to DEFRA/Animal Health, several veterinary pharmaceutical companies and The Brooke, a charity that works in some of the world’s poorest communities providing education and health care for working horses, donkeys and mules.
