Poor performance caused by orthopedic and upper respiratory conditions is prevalent in the Standard Bred Trotter and can be challenging to untangle. The world-renowned speakers have decades of experience with Standardbred trotters and will share invaluable tips and tricks, discuss how to best diagnose such conditions and elaborate on therapeutic strategies through the following lectures and case discussions in English (no translation, but with Swedish moderation ):
On Saturday, 4 ½ hours of practical and case-based sessions will give attendees the opportunity to put theory into practice on clinical cases and to discuss all aspects of respiratory and orthopaedic poor performance with the specialists. Each attendee will be rotating through the following practical and case-based stations:
The course fee includes coffee/tea breaks, lunches, a wine & cheese reception, extensive course notes and a certificate of attendance. Attendees can choose to only attend the lectures (= Lectures Only) on this course or can register for the entire course (= Lectures & Practical Sessions). Early course registration is recommended as there are only a limited number of places available.

Dr. Ross is a Professor of Surgery at New Bolton Center, University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation from Cornell University’s New York State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981, he completed a large animal internship program. Dr. Ross became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1986 and is an active member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. He has broad clinical interests including equine gastrointestinal, respiratory, and musculoskeletal surgery, and in recent years has concentrated efforts in the area of orthopedic surgery with an interest in arthroscopic surgical techniques.Full details

Fabrice was graduated in 1994 from National veterinary school of Toulouse (South of France). He Joined the equine clinic of Grosbois near Paris just after, and became partner in 1998. He followed an ECVS alternate training residency program between 2002 to 2007 and became an ECVS diplomate in 2010. Fabrice is a senior surgeon at the Equine clinic de Grosbois and Equine clinic of Chantilly. He has a 100% activity in surgery. He has a major interest in upper airway surgery, fracture repair, laparoscopy and arthroscopy. He is involved in some research projects such as the development of a laryngeal pacemaker within the Medel group, and the development of new orthopedic implants within the AO group. Dr. Deborah Sieber, a native of the United Kingdom, graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (London), after having spent 12 years training racehorses at top level. Dr. Sieber has in-depth knowledge and passion for the racing industry, but also owned her own practice in UK, with a work load made up of clients from all aspects of the horse world. In 2015 she spent time working as a veterinarian in Singapore, with a variety of top-level Dressage, Jumping and Polo Ponies. Upon her return to the United States in 2014, Dr. Sieber opened Barnside Veterinary Services in Armonk, NY. Since 2017 Dr. Sieber has also been working as an Independent Contractor at Equinosis LLC, manufacturer of the Equinosis Q with Lameness Locator, an inertial sensor based lameness measurement system for horses, providing demonstrations and training to equine veterinarians around the world. Drive on the E4 towards Uppsala. Take the Trafikplats Märsta junction, exit number 180. Drive Road 263 past Märsta towards Sigtuna, after the bridge over Garnsviken there will be a roundabout in Sigtuna. Continue on Road 263 to the right and now drive in the direction of Uppsala for about 4 km. You now see the clinic on the right side of the road. It is signposted Horse Clinic / Small Animal Clinic.

Drive on the E4 towards Stockholm. Take the exit at Knivsta junction, exit number 184. Turn right towards Knivsta. Drive past Knivsta and follow the road to the stop sign. (Vassunda) Drive straight ahead over road 255 and after 200 meters there will be a new stop sign. Turn left towards Sigtuna. After about 2 km and after Skråmsta, the clinic is on the left side.
