The objective of the Northwest Equine Practitioners Association (NEPA) is to promote professionalism within our organization and to maintain open communication lines between equine veterinarians for the purpose of practice enhancement and referral.  To have strength through numbers in legislative, political, and professional matters related to equine practice, toachieve and maintain a professional image within the equine community, and to establish local opportunities for continuing education.

Formed in 1990 and originally known as NWEA (North West Equine Practitioners Association), the group was founded by Dr. Brent Millison, Dr. Ed Scott, Dr. Don Howard, Dr. Tim Phillips, and current Board Member Dr. Ben Braat.   The name was later changed to NEPA, and membership has gown to over 110 equine practitioners.
