Ultrasound-Guided Orthopaedic Injection Techniques

Now a fundamental diagnostic imaging modality in equine orthopaedic practice, the use of ultrasonography has been extended to assist with injection techniques and facilitate minimally-invasive surgery. Often at the forefront of these developments themselves, our speakers will guide you through the ultrasonographic anatomy of the horse's musculoskeletal system and walk you through ultrasound-guided injection techniques for tendons, ligaments, bursae and joints (incl. the hip, shoulder, cervical and thoracolumbar facet, sacroiliac joints). Conventional and novel (incl. regenerative) treatment modalities for orthopaedic conditions will also be discussed.
