Reptile keeping is becoming more and more popular worldwide. Sadly all too often case presentation is linked to husbandry and management related shortfalls. The webinar series deals with management, husbandry (with a particular emphasis on recent husbandry advances), sex determination, parisitology, common case presentations, anaesthesia, clinical pathology techniques, diagnostic imaging, differential diagnosis, treatment options and therapeutic options (drugs, doses, routes of administration). Conditions of snakes, chelonian, lizards and crocodilians will also be considered.
Tariq Abou-Zahr graduated from the University of Bristol in 2014, having always wanted to be an exotic vet. After a year in small animal general practice, he embarked on a 4 year combined internship and residency program in zoological medicine (focusing especially on avian medicine and surgery) at Great Western Exotic Vets in Swindon, and completed this in 2019. He obtained his RCVS CertAVP(Zoological Medicine) in 2019. He works exclusively with exotic species at Valley Exotics, part of Valley Veterinary Hospital in Cardiff.

Neil has received multiple national and international awards and is a past President of both, The European College of Zoological Medicine and The European Board of Specialisation.
Neil headed up Great Western Exotic Vets (part of the Vets Now group) in Swindon, from 2004 to 2017. He now consults part-time at a range of national and internal locations. He is otherwise occupied with voluntary conservation work with critically endangered vultures, lecturing, and managing other consultancy instructions.
