CONTENT DESCRIPTION
In human medicine 70% of all FDA approved AI aids center around imaging. This case-based, interactive panel discussion will focus on the validation, advantages, disadvantages and risks of AI tools in veterinary imaging. A brief background on “how AI in imaging works” will also be included.
Dr. Thompson earned her DVM degree from the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, completed a rotating internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, and her residency training at the University of Florida. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. A member of the Cornell faculty since 2006, Dr. Thompson holds an appointment with the Department of Clinical Sciences as Clinical Professor, Section of Imaging, and currently serves as the Chair of New York Veterinary Board. She previously was Associate Dean of Hospital Operations and Corporate Relations, and Director of the Cornell University Hospital for Animals for nearly 10 years.
