PANEL DISCUSSION DESCRIPTION
Neoplasia a common diagnosis in veterinary species, especially in dogs exceeding 10 years of age. Depending on the specific diagnosis, the location of the cancer, the stage at time of diagnosis, owner finance and ethical stance etc. treatment with the goal of reducing or eliminating the cancer is either limited or not an option.
When this is the case, palliative care becomes the only treatment option – but what are the possibilities, and what do practitioners need to consider before going down this route.
Join this international panel of leading experts in their field as they explore options for palliative care and debate the ethical considerations intimately associated with treating versus not treating these patients, as well as sharing their experiences of managing and supporting the owners.
Questions from the audience are encouraged. This Panel Discussion will be available On-Demand following the live event.
