Although born in Sweden, Cajsa has spent most of her life in the UK and graduated from the RVC in 2008. Following a hospital internship and ambulatory work she completed a residency in equine surgery at University of Liverpool (2013-2016) and became a diplomat in Equine Surgery in 2018. She also completed a PhD in antimicrobial resistance in 2020 and whilst also working as a Senior Lecturer in Equine Surgery at the University of Liverpool. Cajsa relocated to Devon in 2022 where she worked as equine surgeon at Western Counties Equine Hospital. Cajsa is currently working at Evidensia Equine Hospital, Helsingborg in Sweden some of the month whilst operating peripatetic lameness and surgical referral service (Exmoor Equine Clinic) in North Devon, UK. Her clinical interests include antimicrobial resistance, lameness and orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. During her residency and PhD she published extensively on surgical site infections and antimicrobial resistance in hospitalised horses.
