Daniel Ark Evensen, AWCF, is a highly experienced farrier based in the Oslo area of Norway, where he lives with his wife and two teenage sons. He has been shoeing horses full-time since 2001, following an early career working in several harness racing stables in Norway and Sweden from the age of 16. Horses and equestrian sports have been at the heart of Daniel's professional life for nearly three decades, including time spent riding and competing in showjumping.

Today, Daniel primarily shoes showjumpers, eventers, and dressage horses, alongside a select group of Standardbred racehorses. Over the past ten years, he has developed strong collaborations with leading veterinary clinics such as EMPET, Bjerke Dyrehospital, and most recently the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). His focus in these partnerships has been on remedial farriery, post-operative support, and orthopedic work with foals and young horses.

In 2016, Daniel earned his Associate of the Worshipful Company of Farriers (AWCF) qualification in Peterborough, United Kingdom — becoming, along with Aksel Vibe, one of the first Norwegians and the second Scandinavian to achieve this prestigious distinction.

An avid and accomplished competitor, Daniel has represented Norway across Europe, North America, and Canada since 2005, participating in multiple European and World Championships. He is a three-time Norwegian National Champion and has been a longstanding member of the Norwegian Farrier Team, which achieved its best-ever result with a 6th place finish at the Stoneleigh International Farrier Championship in 2024.

Daniel firmly believes that the focus, precision, skill, and attention to detail honed through competitive farriery are critical to success both in remedial work and in supporting high-level equine athletes. His professional philosophy is guided by two core principles:
