Dr. Tena Ursini grew up on a family-owned dairy farm before attending Michigan State University for her undergraduate and veterinary degrees. She performed two rotating internships at ESMS in Weatherford, Texas, and Rood and Riddle, in Lexington, Kentucky. She then performed a residency at the University of Tennessee in Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. She became board certified in the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and remained as faculty at UT while earning her PhD. Her clinical interests include rehabilitation, and managing musculoskeletal conditions in all large animal species. Her research interests involve spinal biomechanics as well as validating rehabilitation treatment protocols.
